Mr. Vega, Mathematical Modeling
Course Description
This course will be taught as an elective during the first semester of the 25/26 school year.
This course introduces students to the process of using mathematics to represent, analyze, and solve real-world problems. Through collaborative investigations, students will learn to build, test, and refine mathematical models that describe phenomena in science, economics, engineering, and everyday life. Topics include linear and nonlinear functions, data analysis, probability, and basic statistics, with a strong emphasis on interpreting results in context. Students will use technology and mathematical tools to simulate scenarios, make predictions, and communicate findings effectively.
