May 6th --- FRCC Ends

May 10th --- Westgate Clothing Swap

May 11th --- Leaving for Belize -- I will be sending out details very soon!

May 17th --- If your senior is not on the Belize trip, they do not go to Westgate this afternoon

May 21st --- Graduation Cap decoration and Schneider Hair dye, class together time starting at 11:30 AM

May 22nd --- Senior Brunch and Graduation rehearsal.  Students need to be at Westgate at 8 AM and bring their cap and gowns.

Welcome to second semester of senior year, there is a lot going on so I apologize for the long post.

 

* Senior Pictures, quotes and baby Pictures: I emailed you and your student if I have not received any of three things listed above,  Please make sure you get that to me via email no later than the 31st of January; so that it can be submitted to year book. 

 

* Jostens: Make sure you submit your order to Jostens no later than spring break.  Only thing required to order from them is cap and gown, everything else is optional.  Please let me know if you have any questions. 

 

* Service Learning Trip:  If your student is going to Belize, please see the email that went out today with a summation of notes and answered questions from our meeting this week.  I have also included forms.  If your student is NOT going to Belize they are required to complete 20 hours of community service at the Not for Profit organization of their choice during the time we are in Belize.  Reach out to me should you have any questions about either the trip or the service requirement. 

 

Please let Ms. Washington or I know if you have questions about FASFA, College Board, Internship, etc. 

 

There will be a lot of information coming out in the near future about Prom, gradiation, and other fun senior year activities.

Happy Thanksgiving Break!   No classes this week at FRCC or at Westgate.  

It was great getting to see the seniors last week after Fall Break!  

 

This week we have Hogwarts's Day on Friday.  Seniors are encouraged to attend all day, but we also understand that they may have their internships. 

 

This is an amazing full day activity.  

Our schedule will be as follows: 

8:00 – 8:45: Breakfast in the Great Hall (HS Commons)  

8:45 – 9:45: House Decorating 

9:45– 10:45: Begin Class Rotations (2 classes)  

10:45 – 11:15: Quidditch Prep and House Time 

11:15 – 12:15: Lunch 

12:15 – 1:45: Class Rotations (3 classes)  

1:45 – 3:15ish: Quidditch!  

3:15: Ending Circle/Awarding of the House Cup

Welcome back from Fall Break!!  I am excited to see the seniors again.

 

Colorado Free Application Day: student's should have also already reached out to various people for letters of recommendation.  If not please encourage them to expedite the process. 

 

Westgate Trunk or Treat is Friday October 20th  The Seniors have elected to set up a trunk as a fund raising effort.  I am excited to bring my kids by their trunk. 

 

Hogwarts's Day is Friday October 27th, we encourage seniors to be here all day this day.   We will releasing more information and the food donation sign up genius in the very near future.  Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. 

 

NO SCOOL FRIDAY November 10th in observance of Veteran's Day

 

 

How is the year a quarter of the way over already?

 

 

* Senior Pictures: you need to end me a jpeg file of your student's chosen senior picture no later than Winter Break.  Let me know if you have any questions.

 

* Jostens' Packet: your student needs to have Westgate specifically colored cap and gown that needs to be purchased through Jostens'.  Anything else that they have to purchase is optional.  Orders are due no later than the last Friday before Spring Break.  Let me know if you have any questions.

 

Homecoming: Dance is Friday September 29th. Tickets can be purchased at the door, on the school store or with Ms. Natalie.  If your student wants to bring someone from another school, the form for that is due to Mr. Cuevas no later than end of school on Wednesday.   

 

Belize 2024: The last day to register for the trip is Friday September 29th.  Please let me know if you have any questions or need the link. 

 

Quarter 1 Conferences: Conferences are happening Monday October 2nd and Tuesday October 3rd.  Please look at last week's post if you are interested in registering for a conference time.
