How is it the end of April? 
 
Homework: None
 
Weekly Agenda:
Monday:  Superhero DNA activity begins --- this is acting as the end of unit project instead of a test
Wednesday: Continue work on the Superhero DNA project and get ready for presentations
Friday:  Present Superhero DNA project to class
 
FINAL Project will be assigned Monday May 6thand will be due Friday May 10th at noon.  We will be on a field trip at that time but students will have class all week to work on their final project.

Student's final for my class will be the week of May 6th due to my chaperoning the senior trip.

Welcome back!  I hope you had an amazing spring break!  We are hitting the ground running as we don't have a lot of time between now and the end of the school year.
 
Homework: Unit 7 Vocabulary
 
Weekly Agenda: 
Monday:  Quick talk about the eclipse that students will have observed in the previous class period.  And lecture on Unit 7 Lesson 1
Wednesday:  Finish Unit 7 Lesson 1 Lecture, create a meiosis diagram, and complete Unit 7 Lesson 1 Checkpoint Assignment
Friday:    Unit 7 Lesson 1 Can You Explain It, group activity

Week of March 25th and April 1st

Happy Spring Break Everyone!
 
No Westgate classes until April 8th!

Students will still have FRCC but the bus will not run from Westgate.  Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

We are getting into gene coding this week, and students will begin to understand how DNA and RNA work to help determine the characteristics of organisms.

Week of February 19th

Students have done amazing with this unit, and I am proud of how they handled the history of human experimentation subunit we just completed.

Monday: NO SCHOOL due to President's Day
Wednesday: Mitosis Lab, make sure to wear lab appropriate attire 
Friday: Unit Connections Activities
 
There will not be a test on Unit 5, as it transitions so well into Unit 6, so we will wait to test at the end of Unit 6. 

Week of February 5th

We are getting deeper into our new unit, and looking at how cells replicate and how we as humans have used this to assist ourselves.

Weekly Agenda:
Final Projects will be assigned in Teams at 8:00 AM on Monday December 4th.  Students will have all of their class periods this week to complete their finals; they are allowed to work on them outside of class but should not need to.   FINAL PROJECTS ARE DUE THURSDAY DECEMBER 7TH AT 3:30 PM; NO EXCEPTIONS.
