September 25-29

We are finishing up our unit on Colorado cities and moving onto learning about Colorado topography. Students will learn about mountains vs. mountain ranges, Colorado's top five mountain ranges and how topography impacts tourism and life in the state.

September 18-22

We are working on our Colorado Cities unit! Students have researched one of six major cities in Colorado (Colorado Springs, Denver, Durango, Pueblo, Grand Junction, Boulder). They are creating travel itineraries for these cities. Maybe you can use it over October Break!

September 11-15

This week students will present their Colorado Regions Presentations! Then, we will transition into learning about Colorado Cities (Denver, Durango, Colorado Springs, Boulder, Grand Junction, Pueblo).

September 5th-8th

Students will continue to learn about the four different regions in Colorado. They will compare their work from last week with their partners. They will also create presentations based on the region they researched.

August 28-August 31

This week we are learning about what a region is and what the different regions in Colorado are. Students will become "experts" on a specific region and present what they learn to their fellow classmates.

August 21-25

We are finally switching for social studies this week! Students will learn what to expect for this year. 4th grade social studies is all about Colorado, so to kick it off, we will be learning about the Colorado state flag and how our state come to be.
