Gale's Math 2/26/24

Hello, this week we will start to work on adding and subtracting fractions. We will look at decomposing fractions, adding fractions with like denominators, subtracting fractions with like denominators, writing mixed numbers as fractions and fractions as mixed numbers, and adding mixed numbers with like denominators. We will put a heavy concentration on solving word problems with fractions in this unit.

This week we will be talking about equivalent fractions. We will touch on how to find equivalent fractions by dividing and multiplying. Then we will talk about comparing fractions and how to figure out which fraction is bigger.

This week we will be talking about factors, prime and composite numbers, and multiples. We will also work on writing different patterns based on different rules.

Hello, this week we will be working on strategies to help us solve multi-digit multiplication strategies. We will cover using place value and properties to multiply, using the distributive property to multiply two-digit numbers, and using partial products. 
 
 

Gale's Math 10/23/23

Hello, for math we will be continuing to work on different strategies to multiply two, three, and four-digit numbers by a one-digit number. These strategies include distributive property, partial products, and the traditional method. We will also focus on solving different multiplication word problems. 

Gale's Math 9/11/23

This week we will start working on adding six or more digit numbers and working with different strategies to solve different problems. We will also be working on word problems and problems with multiple addins.
