Ms. M's Math Week of April 24

Each day there will be a warm-up and a new lesson. I will go over the lesson with the class as well as do example problems. Once the class has an overall well understanding, I pass out the worksheet of the day. I highly recommend doing simple division as well as multiplication when possible as a practice to strengthen overall skills in math.  
 
Mon: Lesson 8.2 Estimate sums and differences 
Tues: Lesson 8.3 Find common denominators
Wed: Lesson 8.4 Add fractions with unlike denominators
Thurs: Lesson 8.5 Subtract fractions with unlike denominators
Friday: Lesson 8.6 Add mixed numbers 

Ms. M. Math Week of April 10

We are finishing up chapter 7 which entails dividing decimals. There may be a chapter 7 test but it might get pushed into next week due to testing. We will begin chapter 8 afterward which is adding and subtracting fractions. 

Ms. M. Math Week of April 3

This week we are beginning chapter 7. Which entails estimating decimal quotients, using models to divide decimals by whole numbers, as well as dividing decimals by one and then two-digit numbers. 

Ms. M. Math Week of March 27

In math this week we are wrapping up chapter 6 which focuses on 4-digit division and division word problems. There will be a test this week on chapter 6, and we will move on to chapter 7. Chapter 7 focuses on dividing decimals.
 
Students need to practice on MobyMax at home daily, particularly how to set up a division problem.

This week in math we are still practicing multiplying decimals. We will be finishing our chapter 5 by taking a test and then moving on with chapter 6 of dividing.

This week in math we are starting chapter 5. In this chapter we focus on how to multiply with decimals. We are taking our chapter 5 pretest on Monday, working through notes, and worksheets to go along with the notes.
