Students were given two assignments before spring break that had due dates attached, but were not going into the grade book until this quarter. 

 

While some students had this done when I graded them some have not turned it in. 

 

I am giving an extension until the end of lab tomorrow. 

 

Please have the water systems questions and the virtual water testing lab done by the end of lab period tomorrow.

6. The Peruvian anchovy fishery collapsed in 1972. Using what you know about climate and food webs, can you devise an explanation for this event?
7. What two events must occur for there to be an ice age?
8. What human activities increase greenhouse gases in the atmosphere? Explain.
9. Why are CO2emissions projected to increase during the next few decades?
10. What role will the developed nations play in increasing CO2emissions in the next few decades?
11. Why do storms increase in frequency and intensity as global temperatures increase?

Students will research different world climates in class on Thursday and make a short presentation about them for lab on Friday. 

 

Climate presentations should give a definition for the climate type, discuss what makes it a climate, where it can be found, its weather, and what type of flora and fauna can be found there.
