Virtual Calming

Virtual Calming

Being human means experiencing emotions.

Sometimes we can manage our emotions, and sometimes life is hard and the emotions we have may feel overwhelming. The uncertain times we are living through may lead to experiences of loss, anxiety, uncertainty, fear, loneliness, or grief which can bring about strong emotions.

During these moments, it is important we move from the “fight or flight” part of our brain to the front of our brain where we can make good choices and healthy decisions. When we may be away from our usual routine and supports, here are some resources for students, families and staff to help process, think about, and manage our emotions.
