Staff Profile

Hi! 

I am excited to be part of the 3-4 Team here at Westgate! This is my third year in the 3-4 pod, and I am ready for a great year. I received a B.A. in Psychology, a minor in Educational Studies, and a certificate in Health Studies from Dickinson College. I also worked with Public Education and Business Coalition (PEBC) to obtain my teaching license. I was drawn to Westgate because of the emphasis that is put on incorporating social-emotional learning into the classroom throughout the day. Our curriculum is built around a whole child education, which is essential because you cannot teach academics without building social-emotional skills. 

I moved to Colorado from the East Coast in September 2020! It was hard to leave my family and friends, but they have supported me throughout my life, from cheering me on as I played college soccer and now encouraging me to begin a new path in my career journey. Although I miss the beach, I love exploring the mountains and trails out here. When I’m not at school or playing soccer, you can find me eating ice cream (my favorite flavors are Coffee Oreo and Mint Chip) and hiking/biking with my friends. I also have a cat named Otis and a dog named Ollie!
