Frequently Asked Questions and Answers
Q:  When will students be sent home by the school nurse?
A:  Students will be sent home if they exhibit ANY of the following symptoms which are new or a change in usual symptoms:
    • Feeling feverish, having chills, or temperature 100.4 F or higher
    • New or unexplained persistent cough
    • Shortness of breath
    • Difficulty breathing
    • Loss of taste/smell
    • Fatigue
    • Muscle Aches
    • Headache
    • Sore Throat
    • Nausea or Vomiting
    • Diarrhea
    • Runny nose or congestion
NOTE:  Students should be kept at home if they have any of the above symptoms.
Q.  When can my student return to school after a positive COVID-19 symptom screen?
A.  Students whose symptoms resolve within 24 hours of sympton onset may return to school.  Please see the  'Return after positive symptom screen' sheet attached on the left for any other scenarios.
Q.  How long will my student have to quarantine?
A.  Families whose student must quarantine will receive a private and detailed email sent to the parent/guardians identified in Infinite Campus.  
Q.  Do siblings of quarantined students need to stay at home too?
A.  Yes and No...
  • YES - if the student who was originally quarantined is COVID Positive
  • NO - if the originally quarantined student is NOT COVID Positive and IS asymptomatic
Q.  How will my student receive WFH classroom assignments?
A.  Teachers will email assignments to parents/guardians.
Q.  Will my student be marked as absent?
A.  Yes and No...
  • YES - for safety and accountability of students in the building, your WFH student will be counted as absent.
  • NO - the excused absence does not count against your student for truancy purposes
