Weekly Update 5/20/2019

This week in Science we are diving deeper into dinosaurs. We will be learning about the continent of pangea and how it looks different than the world we have not (maps and globes standard). We will also be talking more about fossils and even getting to chip away at some fossilized eggs!

Weekly Update 5/13/2019

This week in Science we are doing a couple of experiments with living and non living things. We will then go into talking about how living things can die, which then leads to extinction. And what went extinct? You guessed it! Dinosaurs. This week we will dig into what being a paleontologist would look like and what we know about dinosaurs from fossils!

Weekly Update 5/6/2019

This week in Science, we are starting our Living Vs. Non-living unit. This week will be more of an introduction where we learn what something needs in order to be considered living. It has to answer yes to all of these questions: Can it move or grow? Does it need water/food? Can it reproduce? Can it breathe? If yes, then it is living!

Towards the end of the week, we will be switching gears into dinosaurs and learning about Paleontologists and  how they studied the dinosaurs!
MARK YOUR CALENDARS! May 30th from 5:30-6:30pm will be our Dinosaur Museum. Please come to check out the hard work we will be completing for the remainder of the year!

Weekly Update 4/29/2019

Due to a variety of circumstances, we didn't get to start our Economics project. So, this week we will finally be able to make our own items to sell at our store. Each child will have to decide which object(s) they are going to make, make a budget, use the fake money they have to buy the items, and make the items. We will then decide on a price to sell the items for based on how much they spent making them, and at the end of the week (or next week) we will have a chance to sell their items to each other.
